Melissa + Chris

I've got a great wedding to share with you all today. The following photos are the result of combining some of St. Louis' best venues, a beautiful day and, of course, two warm and incredibly in-love people.

I started the day with Melissa and her bridesmaids at the Knight Center on the Washington University campus, where they were getting ready. Then we headed over to Forest Park to do a first look with Chris. They choose this great spot on a Victorian bridge, which I had never used for wedding photos before because it is not easily accessible. They were up for trekking to the bridge, and we were rewarded with what I think is one of the best first look sequences I've ever shot. Chris' reaction didn't hurt, either.

Melissa and Chris were married on Sunday, Sept. 11. They moved their wedding date to book me as their photographer, so I definitely felt some the need to not only do a great job but knock it out of the park. Hopefully you all think I succeeded. Check it out!

Melissa's daughter, Emma, gets a helping hand while getting ready. Below, son Jay gets some assistance from Chris.

Chris and Jay got to Forest Park ahead of us, and from the looks of it Jay found a way to pass the time. Thanks to Katy Corea for second shooting with me on Sunday.

This is definetly one of my favorite first look sequences ever.

After the first look and a few portraits, it was time to head back to Washington University for the ceremony at Graham Chapel.

Melissa watches through a crack in the door as the ceremony gets under way.

The Rev. Doug Robison officated. If you're looking for an officiant, hire him! I did for my own wedding last year.

Emma and friends run to meet Melissa and Chris as they arrive at the reception.

The reception was across campus at the Knight Center.

They did a joint father-daughter dance.

Congratulations, Melissa and Chris. It was a lot of fun!
