Kathleen + Michael

I've got a very special wedding to share with you all this morning. I recently had the honor and privilege of photographing my second cousin Michael and his (now) wife Kathleen's wedding here in St. Louis. You'd be hard-pressed to find two people who are nicer and more easy going. Impartial observers no doubt agree.

The ceremony took place at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Ferguson and was followed by a reception at the stately Glen Echo Country Club.

I'd like to give a shout-out to my assistant for the day, Jerry, who nabbed a number of great shots when he wasn't helping me.

We started the day at Kathleen's family home, an elegant, century-old house a few blocks from the church in Ferguson.

Michael gets ready at the church shortly before mass.

Kathleen arrived in style in her neighbor's 1953 Oldsmobile 88.

A friend of Michael's lead the recessional.

After a brief stop at Fritz's for some celebratory custard, we headed to Forest Park.

Kathleen's grandfather proposed to her grandmother on a bench outside the Jewel Box, so we made a quick stop there before heading over to the Muny.

Glen Echo was founded in 1908 and claims to be the oldest 18-hole golf course west of the Mississippi!

Congratulations, Kathleen and Michael! Thank you so much for having me out!
