I had been looking forward to this wedding for a while now because I knew it would have great venues, plenty of fun details and — oh, yeah — my wife’s best friend was the bride. I was honored when Elizabeth asked me to document she and Aaron's wedding. I started the day documenting Elizabeth and the bridesmaids getting ready at her home in St. Charles before heading to UMSL's campus for the service. Following the ceremony and a quick portrait shoot in the courtyard, we headed back to St. Charles for the reception at Ameristar.

Flower girl (and Elizabeth's niece) Hannah gets the spa treatment.

Aaron waits for the ceremony to begin in the back room at UMSL’s Provincial House Chapel.

The boutonnieres were one of many fun DIY items made by Elizabeth and her family.

Elizabeth, her dad and her sister make their way to the ceremony.

I had a hard time deciding which exit photo to use — so many fun faces to choose from.

Elizabeth's tattoo of Aaron’s initials. Gotta give my wife a shoutout for suggesting this detail shot!

Elizabeth and Aaron used springtime colors that pop (no pun intended) for their wedding. Check out all these greens, yellows and oranges at the candy bar.

Love this cake's design!

Aaron and a few of his friends surprised Elizabeth with a serenade of "You've Lost that Lovin' Feelin."
Thanks for choosing me to document your wedding, Elizabeth and Aaron! Congrats!
